Can I  join KYMT?

If you are at high school and would like to take part in a large scale musical then we would love to have you for our February 2025 production!

We have an open chorus policy which means you don't have to join a waiting list or audition to join us.

Come along on to St Bryce Church for the first rehearsal on September 10th!

How much does KYMT cost?

Our first week is free, and we then charge £2 each week. We also require a annual £5 membership fee which can be paid in week 2 with your weekly payment. 

Do I need any performing experience?

None at all, we love welcoming new members with all levels of experience.

When are rehearsals?

Rehearsals for our February 2025 production will begin on September 10th 2024 7-9pm.

We rehearse on Tuesday (whole cast) and Thursday (principals/dancers) evenings, at St Bryce Kirk in Kirkcaldy, 7-9:15pm. 

We do not rehearse during Fife School Holidays.

There will be Dress/Technical Rehearsals the week of the shows to prepare for the performances.

We also rehearse on Sundays beginning at the end of January, with a full day rehearsal on the final Sunday before show week- to run the full show twice.

Do I have to audition?

If you would like a principal role then you will have to do a small audition, however if you would like to stick to the ensemble then you definitly don't have to audition if you don't want to.

However if you would like to give it a go then we would definitly encourage that, even if you don't want a part this year it is great practise and will help build your confidence if you change your mind in future years.
